Control Drops To Its Lowest Price For a Limited Time | Game Rant

Last week, some video game retailers reduced the price of Remedy Entertainment's Control, offering 50% off from the game's standard list price. Now, Sony's PlayStation Store is offering the game as part of its weekly deals, which reduces Control's price to its lowest ever for a limited time.

Right now, players can snag a copy of Control for a cheap price of $23.99, or 60% off its original price of $59.99. It is worth pointing out that this price will only be available at the PlayStation Store until April 1, 2020. To those unfamiliar with the game, Control is an action-adventure game released last year by Remedy Entertainment and revolves around the character of Jesse and the mysterious Federal Bureau of Control, the organization tasked to containing and supervising supernatural phenomena.

Additionally, Control is one of the most critically-acclaimed titles of 2019, winning several awards in various gaming categories. Just last month, Control was able to sweep several accolades at the DICE Awards 2020 in four categories: Action Game of the Year, Outstanding Achievement in Art Direction, Outstanding Achievement in Game Direction, and Outstanding Achievement in Original Music Composition.

A few weeks ago, Remedy Entertainment finally revealed the release date of Control's first-ever DLC expansion called The Foundation. For quite some time details about the expansion were scarce, but thankfully, the studio has released the first preview trailer of The Foundation, which gave players a little bit of insight as to what to expect in the DLC. The latest preview showed new subterranean spaces for players to explore and revealed that the story will revolve around the underground layer of the Oldest House, which is obviously called the Foundation. Moreover, an important structure/device called the Monolith has been damaged, causing the Astral Plane to leak into the physical world.

Although Control itself is available for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One, Remedy Entertainment revealed a few weeks ago that The Foundation will be a timed-exclusive for the PC and PS4, and the DLC is already available on these platforms starting today. Unfortunately, Xbox One players will have to wait a little while longer, given that The Foundation is scheduled to release on the Xbox One on June 25, 2020. As of the moment, it is still unclear whether Control's upcoming second DLC will be released the same way.

Control is available now for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
