Animal Crossing: New Horizons Peppy Villager Tier List

With over 400 villagers that can move onto players' islands in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, it can be said that every single villager has at least a couple fans. However, for many players and fans of the Animal Crossing series, it is very clear that certain villagers are more popular than others. The peppy villager personality type can be seen as the female counterpart to the jock personality type, as peppy villagers are only female and jocks are only male. They also have louder personalities compared to some of the other personality types found in-game.

As with all of the Animal Crossing: New Horizons villagers, each villager is someone's favorite, yet this tier list is based on the overall demand for these villagers.

Villagers: Tangy, Apple, Bluebear, Chrissy, Cookie, Ketchup, Audie, Ruby, and Tutu.

These villagers are heavily sought after due to their adorable appearances with pastel colors or food themed looks. Many of these villagers are sold online for in-game bells or real life money through private sales or eBay thanks to their popularity. Villagers such as Chrissy are also sought after due to her having Francine as a sister in-game, making having both of them special. The two also appear on the album cover of the very popular Bubblegum K.K., making their faces known to many.

In Audie's case, she has become popular due to an Animal Crossing series player named Audrey being the source of the peppy wolf's English name. Audrey is an 88-year old gamer that has over 4,000 hours put into Animal Crossing: New Leaf, so players who followed her story in Animal Crossing history will definitely want the grandma wolf.

Villagers: Bianca, Bunny, Cheri, Felicity, Peanut, and Sprinkle.

Like the S Tier, these villagers are put on the A Tier because of their overall cute looks. The peppy personality compliments these villagers appearances very well, but their popularity isn't as much as the villagers in the S Tier. Many of these villagers are also long-time residents in the Animal Crossing franchise, making them have a lot of fans carry over from previous titles.

However, with Bianca being one of the tiger villagers, some players have been recreating the Netflix original series, Tiger King with her and other large cat villagers. Players wanting to create such a bizarre crossover will definitely want to pick Bianca up from somewhere.

Villagers: Carmen, Dotty, Merry, Pompom, and Flora.

Going down the tiers, these villagers in Tier B are still very much beloved, but have far less demand than those in the uppermost tiers. Rabbit villagers are generally some of the more popular villager types alongside cats and wolves. Dotty is a rabbit villager with a seemingly thousand yard stand, but with her peppy personality, any worries about her being creepy quickly go away. While these villagers may not be picked up by some people exploring random islands, they still have a good amount of popularity and make good neighbors.

Villagers: Bonbon, Maddie, Nibbles, Pinky, Puddles, Piper, and Twiggy.

Coming down to the C Tier, these are the villagers players may start to ghost when wanting a higher tier villager to move in instead. These villagers also probably won't get picked up from any deserted island, unless the players has some kind of emotional attachment to these villagers. Despite there being little demand for these characters for players' villagers, they still serve as someone's favorite and should be treated as such. After moving in, their peppy personalities are sure to connect to many players' hearts no matter what their appearance is.

Villagers: Gabi, Pate, Penelope, Wendy, and Agent S.

These villagers generally aren't on anyone's list for their dream villagers. The only possible exception to this is Agent S, who is on a Power Rangers/Super Sentai inspired team in the Animal Crossing universe, with all of the member being able to become residents on players' islands.

Some of these villagers have interesting quirks to them, such as Penelope, the mouse, as seen above. While it may seem that she is wearing a giant bow, it actually appears to be her ears. Does she have no ears and wear a bow to cover her head? Could she have dyed her ears to have the appearance of a giant bow? Was she born with her ears like that? These questions will most likely never be answered.

Villagers: Candi, Freckles, Tammi, and Bella

Villagers on Tier E are generally kind of terrifying to look at. These may surprise and frighten unsuspecting players that are visiting random islands looking for villagers. Characters such as Tammi the monkey as shown above have a frightening stare with red eyes. Unlike Dotty's stare, Tammi's stare doesn't seem to ever not come off as the look of a serial killer. Meanwhile, Bella the mouse who is also shown above, has the appearance of a bully from middle school. Her eyes always seem to be in some kind of angry position, so Bella generally comes off as unapproachable.

Villagers: Everyone Else

The rest of the peppy villagers available in Animal Crossing: New Horizons aren't in any sort of high demand. Many of these villagers don't fit into any kind of popular aesthetic or have some overall strange looks. A prime example of this is Tabby, the cat that can be seen in the above image, as she constantly is holding an awkward toothy smile that never seems to go away.

However, there are some villagers such as the official Sanrio Animal Crossing villagers who have not appeared in Animal Crossing: New Horizons yet. These villagers can net players some exclusive Sanrio themed furniture such as My Melody and Hello Kitty merchandise. If these and other villagers appear in a future update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons, the tier list is sure to change around for all personalities including peppy.

Players are also allowed to have the villagers they like without worrying about the thoughts and interests of others. In the end, all villagers in Animal Crossing were made to be players' friends, so players should enjoy their neighbors however they like them.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available now for Nintendo Switch.
