Week 8 of Fortnite's challenges feature the brand-new vehicles. This week's challenges won't make players abuse the Fortnite flying car glitch, but it will require them to speed from one location to another in under 4 minutes.
In order to complete Season 3, Week 8 Fortnite challenges, players will have to do eight different challenges. These are:
- Search 7 Chests at Frenzy Farm
- 3 Eliminations at Salty Springs
- Complete the boat time trial at Motorboat Mayhem
- Drive a car from Retail Row to Pleasant Park in less than 4 minutes
- Collect 500 Wood from Holly Hedges
- Deal 1 damage to opponents from inside of a new Fortnite vehicle
- Deal 10,000 damage to opponents from inside of a vehicle
- Search 7 Ammo Boxes at Lazy Lake
Getting one of the new vehicles all the way from Retail Row to Pleasant Park in the time is not an easy feat. But there is a best route to help players get from point A to point B quickly enough to complete this difficult challenge. It's well worth it; players will grab up 35,000 XP for getting it done.
Thankfully, players won't have to roam the map to find one of the new vehicles from the Fortnite update. They can pick one up in their starting location, at Retail Row. There are a variety of vehicles available, from the slow and sturdy Mudflap tractor trailer front, to the medium speed Sedans and Pickup Trucks, and the very speedy race car-like Whiplash with low HP. Choose one of the faster vehicles to get to the finish line on time.
Once the player has gotten inside the vehicle, they should see a prompt on the screen to "drive to Pleasant Park." Now the timer has started, and there are 4 minutes on the clock. Vehicles drive best on roads, parking lots, and other pavement areas, so try to avoid grass, trees, and water while on the way to Pleasant Park. Even shallow water can slow the vehicle down quite a bit, so stick to the road.
Luckily for players, there is a road that connects Pleasant Park and Retail Row. Head west from Retail Row. Keep heading north and west past the west side of Frenzy Farm. There is a golden XP coin on the way, right by Frenzy Farm. If players drive along the road, they should get to their destination within the 4-minute time limit. Once players reach Pleasant Park, however, they will most likely be out of gasoline, so they'll either have to ditch their car or fill up at a gas station.
Fortnite is available now on Android, iOS, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X versions in development.
