10 Best Seinfeld Characters (Who Only Appear In One Episode)

The fan-favorite sitcom Seinfeld is well known for a handful of things; from their hilarious inside jokes to their iconic bassline theme song. Even viewers that would have been babies during the time of Seinfeld's original airing can still appreciate the humor; as many episodes have held up rather well over time. Even 32 years after its original airing, it is still parodied to this day.

Everyone knows Seinfeld for its cast of iconic characters, but forget the regulars for a second and focus on the true heroes: the minor characters. Without them to play the straight man to the group's ridiculous antics, the audience would have nothing to laugh at. Here are a few characters that made a brief one episode appearance but made a huge impact on Seinfeld fans everywhere.

Disclaimer: Characters that have made one appearance and also another in "The Finale" will still be included!

10 The Low Talker (Leslie)

Better known as The Low Talker (meaning she can never be heard in a conversation), Kramer's girlfriend, Leslie, may be soft-spoken but sometimes that silence can make for comedic misunderstandings. Who could forget the creator of thee Puffy Shirt? This shirt ended up being one of the most iconic items from the entire series.

When Jerry is forced to wear the pirate-esque shirt made by the quiet fashion designer for his interview at The Today Show due to a misunderstanding, Leslie finally breaks out of her shell, yelling at Jerry for humiliating her and finally having her outbursts be heard.

9 Yev Kassem (The Soup Guy)

More widely known by a much more heavy-handed name given by Jerry, The Soup Guy was much loved by fans. This famous chef had the power to make Jerry himself chose his delicious soups over the dignity of his own girlfriend in the episode as Jerry pretends not to know her after she's thrown out by the strict soup dictator.

Not only was Yev's character well-received by fans, but the plot was also incredibly relatable as well: falling in love with a great recipe only for the service to be less than welcoming.

8 Gino (Enzo's Nephew)

After always going to Enzo for haircuts out of loyalty, Jerry finally decides to defect and try going to his nephew, Gino, for a better haircut. However, because of Enzo's fondness for Jerry as his best and most loyal customer, Jerry must not let Enzo know about his unfaithfulness. Upon Kramer's request, Gino sneaks Jerry into his apartment for his secret hair appointment.

However, after following clues and getting some help from Newman, Enzo catches Gino at Jerry's apartment; which leads to one of the best scenes in Seinfeld history with Gino and his uncle Enzo abruptly ending their quarrel after being absolutely entranced by Edward Scissorhands.

7 Jean-Paul (Marathon Runner)

The famous Olympic athlete, Jean-Paul was undoubtedly one of the most memorable minor characters of the series. Although only starring in one episode, his very sympathetic story of missing the Olympics because of the separate knob on his radio, causing him to miss his alarm and sleep in was a great backstory. Not to mention his amazing chemistry with the group; he would have fit right in as a regular!

However, after Jerry's flub, causing him to sleep in for his marathon once again and Kramer unintentionally burning him with a hot cup of tea Jean-Paul mistook for water, no one could really blame him for wanting to part ways with Jerry and his friends.

6 Celia (Toy Collector)

One of Jerry's many girlfriends through the series, poor Celia is essentially drugged and used for her amazing vintage toy collection which she tells Jerry is for display only. Jerry and his friends take advantage of Celia and feed her tons of heavy sleep-inducing foods like turkey and wine. After she's knocked out for the night, Jerry and George play with her toy collection, allowing nostalgia to take over any sense of guilt.

Luckily for Celia, she eventually finds out about the situation when Kramer invites her as a surprise guest on the Merv Griffin Show set in his apartment.

5 The Sidler (Lou)

Elaine's sneaky co-worker, nicknamed "The Sidler" almost cost Elaine her job. Upon realizing he had the bad habit of always sneaking up and startling her, Elaine gave Lou a case of tic tacs under the guise of making his breath smell better. This way, he would be heard every step he took due to the rattling of the candy in his pocket. However, Elaine's plan backfires as her boss, Mr. Peterman, mistakes her for the source of the sound and tells her she needs to stop the infuriating noise before he decides to fire her.

However, unfortunately for poor Celia, she is once again taken advantage of as Elaine then brings Lou over to her place to get him the vintage gum he requested as a replacement for the noisy tic tacs. It's fairly obvious why Celia decided to part ways from the group after this mess.

4 Little Jerry Seinfeld (Fighting Rooster)

After going to buy a chicken in order to produce his own eggs, Kramer is surprised to find out that he had accidentally purchased a male instead, meaning Little Jerry Seinfeld was a rooster all along. Little Jerry then gets scouted by Marcelino, the owner of a bodega nearby, to participate in illegal cockfighting. Kramer being under the impression that the roosters will wear protective armor, agrees to let him participate.

However, later in the episode, in an attempt to finally take the successful Little Jerry down, Marcelino flies in an aggressive bird all the way from Ecuador. Luckily for Little Jerry, Kramer dives in to stop the fight and save him from his dangerous opponent.

3 The Bubble Boy (Donald)

Even without most fans knowing his real name, The Bubble Boy truly made a lasting impression on fans. This rather rude and abrasive boy lives his life in a bubble as to keep away from germs; although his mother prefers to call it a sterile "plastic divider".

The Bubble Boy, a fan of Jerry's, requests for him to visit for his birthday. But to George's dismay, Jerry and Elaine are running late, leaving him and Susan to entertain The Bubble Boy and his parents themselves. They decide to play Trivial Pursuit which of course leads to the famous "Moors vs. Moops" scene in which The Bubble Boy tries to strangle George.

2 Smuckers (The Coughing Dog)

After being plagued by a nasty cough, Kramer, while hesitant to see a doctor, decides to take a dog with similar symptoms to the vet. To Kramer, vets are more capable as they need to be able to cure a plethora of different kinds of animals in a day whereas a doctor can only help humans.

The absurd editing of putting a human man's cough over Smuckers made for a rather hilarious image. However, the audience never did find out if poor little Smuckers ever got his cough taken care of as Kramer stole all his medicine for himself!

1 Seth (Jerry's College Friend)

Jerry's old college friend, Seth, can't catch a break. Seth ran into Jerry on his way to a big meeting that Jerry talks him out of attending in favor of catching up. Meanwhile, Kramer is trying to shut down a new chicken restaurant because of their bothersome red sign.

However, after feeling bad for costing Seth his job, Jerry offers to switch apartments with a sleep-deprived Kramer so Seth can continue his new job as assistant manager at Kenny Rogers Chicken.

Unfortunately for Seth, his run-in with Jerry gave him nothing but bad luck in the end as the episode ends with the Kenny Rogers location finally shutting down to a now chicken-addicted Kramer's dismay.
