In response to community feedback, EA intends to address the AI issues when drafting quarterbacks in Madden NFL 21. The update will introduce new logic checks for CPU teams to use when evaluating their team rosters and keep them from replacing QBs and players too soon. There will be additional rules and factors added to help make the AI's process of determining which QBs to keep and replace more logical than before.

Madden NFL 21's Commissioner Mode received changes to various controls and draft tools. Commissioners can now undo FA signings during the offseason by clicking on signed players to send them back into the "free agent pool." League commissioners can turn the settings on or off for Heat Seeker tackling, Ball Hawk, and Switch Assist or let individual users do it. They will also be able to assign autopilot to the draft with pause and resume functionality.

The requested Commissioner House Rules feature was added into the game for players. With it, they can determine how many times a play can be called in a game, and how long a player must wait before they can call the same play again. The update will also add X-Factor Customization tools in Career Settings for commissioners to control, which allows them to edit players' X-Factor abilities to different settings including Commissioner Only, Any User, or None.

The updates notes also say there will be two final updates for the Franchise Mode arriving in early March. The changes include improvements to Trade Logic, which will enhance the player and draft picking process to create more rewarding trades in the game. Franchise League history will receive a new tile where players can see award winners from each year of their franchise.

For now, players can check out the changes the current update brought to Madden NFL 21's Franchise mode.
